World Fire Alarm basic principles: Detect-Notify-Monitor fire

World Fire Alarm is an integrated fire security system designed to protect both building facilities and human lives. It provides near real-time information by constantly monitoring the whole world through geostationary satellites NASA Aqua/Terra MODIS and AVHRR NOAA. The information received is processed and in the case of fire detection, indicating spots are generated on the map. The received and processed data is updated maximum every 15 minutes, guaranteeing fast and current updates. The area that World Fire Alarm can cover ranges from 15 to 40 kilometers radius around the customer’s facilities (point of interest) providing very high Spatial and Temporal resolution. If a fire incident is detected by the satellites near the customer’s facilities, notification alerts in the form of SMS and e-mail messages are automatically sent to the customer.

The World Fire Alarm™ contains three (3) different categories of fire protection:

BASIC - PLUS - PREMIUM

BASIC service provides notifications every 1 hour in the form of SMS alerts which hold information about the exact location of the fire on the map (coordinates) and also the nearest town found with respect to that point. The scanning area is 15 km.

PLUS service includes notification alerts every 30 minutes in the form of SMS alerts, which include a url link to a specially designed webpage. This webpage holds a picture of the client's area of interest, where the fire spots are marked accordingly on the map. This service also submits notifications in the form of E-MAIL alerts, holding an attachment of the image described. The scanning area is 15 km.

PREMIUM service includes notification alerts every 15 minutes in the form of SMS alerts, including a url link to a specially designed webpage visible from any device (regardless of screen size and resolution). This webpage holds a picture of the client's area of interest, where the fire spots are marked accordingly on the map. This service also submits notifications in the form of E-MAIL alerts, holding an attachment of the image described. The scanning area is 40 km.
